Network Defense Blog has become a finalist in the Cisco IT Blog Awards!
It's been a little over a year since I started this blog in August 2018 and I'm pleased to announce my blog has made it to the finals of the Cisco IT Blog Awards! The Category is "Best Analysis" - with the description - "Does this blog provide insightful discussions?"
Voting has ended at this time.
Although I have come to realize creating quality content takes more time than I thought in research, writing, testing/labbing, and promoting etc. I will still continue with creating posts for my established series like "The Art of Cyber War" and "Design Scenarios" regardless of the outcome of the awards. I will also do my best to provide valuable information to help you - the internet plumbers and data conservationists - move along in your journey. I want to provide more insightful content for those that want to sit back, read, and think for a minute.
Being nominated in this category has definitely provided some acknowledgement and I am very appreciative of all of you who have come here and enjoyed my content!
Here is the criteria Cisco wants you to consider when voting:
Value – Do the majority of posts (or podcast episodes or videos) provide value? Is the information or perspective unique? Can you see yourself sharing this blog (or podcast or video) as a great resource?
Credibility – Does the author (or authors) present their topic in depth? Are arguments well supported? Is it well written?
Consistency – Does the author have a (mostly) consistent cadence or are there occasional hit-and-runs? Do you know what you’re getting into when you click on a link?
This will provide me recognition for the content I have posted here over the last year and keep me motivated to provide quality content in the future. Voting is open from November 22, 2019 through December 13, 2019. Winners are Selected in January 2020.
update: 2020 - Voting has ended at this time, the blog was not selected as the winner.
Big Thank you to everyone who voted for the blog!
